HOT FOIL STAMPING

Hot foil stamping is a commercial printing process whereby a pneumatic foil stamping machine uses heat to transfer metallic foil to a solid flat surface. The process requires a plate (or block) be mounted to the stamp. The plate is then heated, and pressure from the machine is placed on the metallic foil whereby the application of metallic foil adheres to the material below leaving the design of the heated plate. The process of hot foil stamping consists of several stages: plate production, setup, imposition, temperature and pressure testing, and test printing.

Available on a large selection of stocks and materials, with the option to lightly or deeply deboss (based on the stock selection), metallic foil is beautiful for adding an elegant and glamorous touch.

LETTERPRESS

Letterpress is the oldest and one of the most exquisite forms of printing available. Letterpress has evolved into a medium that somewhat bonds the old way of letterpress printing with digital technology to produce a very unique finish. In this process, a plate (or block) is created, which is then mounted to a base and loaded into the letterpress machine. This plate is then inked and stamped directly into paper to transfer the ink and a deboss impression. The process of letterpress printing consists of several stages: plate production, setup, imposition, lock-up, and test printing.

Available on various shades of 100% cotton paper, letterpress invitations are beautiful for an organic and classic feel.

The process of the two combined printing techniques consists of several stages. It commences with the stages of letterpress: plate production, setup, imposition, lock-up, and test printing, and concludes with the stages of hot foil stamping: plate production, setup, imposition, temperature and pressure testing, and test printing.
